Director of US M&A

Job description

Unique Corporate Development role for a seasoned deal lead who can shape the US inorganic growth story for a UK technology portfolio asset. The role will sit in London with the Exco, leading M&A strategy, origination, and execution across the Atlantic — sourcing, executing, and embedding acquisitions that transform the business' footprint in a competitive US tech market.

You will own the full deal cycle:

  • Origination – building relationships, mapping the market, and identifying the right opportunities across the US.
  • Execution – running processes end-to-end: valuation, structuring, due diligence, negotiations, and Board approvals.
  • Value creation – partnering with leadership to design and deliver the post-deal plan: from integration to unlocking revenue synergies and operational improvement.

This is not a supporting role. It’s a seat at the table, working shoulder-to-shoulder with the CEO and CFO, shaping one of the most critical growth levers for the business.

Essential experience:

  • A strong M&A track record - in-house corporate development is essential
  • US transaction experience - directly leading processes in the States + bringing advisor relationships
  • A perspective on the US tech market, and growth angles
  • The ability to balance sharp execution with commercial creativity
  • Proven magnetism with founder targets
  • Gravitas with senior leadership and credibility with US counterparties and advisers

For the right candidate, this is an opportunity to define and deliver the US expansion playbook for a fast-scaling international tech leader.  A truly career-shaping opportunity.
