Deal Lead - Corporate Development

Job description

We are seeking a proactive and entrepreneurial Deal Lead to join the Corporate Development team of a fast-growing, private equity-backed international platform. The company is executing an ambitious buy-and-build strategy across multiple geographies, with a strong pipeline of opportunities in Europe and North America.

This role offers significant exposure to senior leadership and investors, with responsibility for sourcing, evaluating, and executing acquisitions, as well as building long-term relationships with founders and strategic partners. Over time, this individual will take increasing ownership of the global M&A pipeline and network, with clear progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and qualify a high volume of inbound and outbound deal opportunities across multiple international markets.

  • Drive bilateral sourcing efforts and manage founder-led deal conversations.

  • Support and lead elements of deal execution, including financial modelling, valuation, and due diligence coordination.

  • Partner closely with senior leadership and investors to develop and refine strategic business plans.

  • Contribute to entrepreneurial initiatives within the group, including potential spinouts and new business ventures.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including founders, advisors, and counterparties.

  • Support post-transaction handover to ensure smooth integration and value creation.

Candidate Profile

  • 2–5 years’ experience in investment banking, corporate development, or top-tier M&A advisory.

  • Strong technical skills in valuation, financial modelling, and transaction execution.

  • Proven project management ability, with comfort operating in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment.

  • Entrepreneurial and agile mindset – proactive, resourceful, and able to thrive in ambiguity.

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills; confident working directly with founders and senior executives.

  • International outlook; fluency in English required, additional languages a plus.

  • London-based (or willing to relocate), with flexibility for international travel.
